If any of you are wondering why Hammer is riding a little slower, he had a few injuries that have cropped up post-accident but we are trying to work them out so he feels good again.

Bill you leave that poor boy alone! You can't ride your bike around the block without complaining about your sore behind!! Jason, you just ride your bike however fast you want to go and don't worry about who is behind or ahead. Yay Jason!

Hey Crew! Just in case it appears otherwise at the time, Jason WANTS to go to the awards banquet Sunday - no matter what. Even if he is all showered up and fast asleep for the first real sleep he has had in 10 days - even if YOU are all showered up and fast asleep for the first real sleep you have had in days - you HAVE to wake him up and you all must go. Even if he whines and whimpers and stays curled up in the fetal position - he must go. Even if he has, for some reason, just finished at 5:50pm, and is still in his racing costume - he must be at the banquet for 6pm.

Hi Mom & Dad, Laura sent me a picture of Jason & crew in the RV eating KFC yesterday. Jason looked incredibly good. I can send you the picture, but would need you to post your email address?

I agree with Ro. Jason needs to go to the awards banquet. If he doesn't, he will regret it later on. He doesn't want to have any regrets after putting in all the miles & finishing. I think he should be telling his story at the banquet!

Next time forget the leg repairs and go bionic, not only don't your knees hurt, you make great music when you move.

You're doing great and 500 miles for a Hammer like you is a dawdle in the park.

Trust Steve, he knows what he is talking about. If you decide to take his advice, give me a call, I know the name of a great doctor. xo
