Then on the way down, the road that the map claimed followed the interstate, was more of a ruined stretch of crumbling pavement, full of cracks, holes, and small to medium sized ditches. Turns out ol' Winston has some pretty good hops, as we took to the downhill / downwind section still holding 30+ mph all the while jumping said holes and ditches up to two feet wide.
Oh and did I mention when I got back I had a nice present waiting for me!? I mean, present in as much as you can call ordering something from afar and having it shipped to your door... A nice new shiny set of Zipp Firecrests, lets just say the Hed's have a few shortcomings, ie poorly built, low quality, and all-round budge-o desgin. Not so much those things with these new ones.
